Coffee with the Co-op hosted by SunCoast Market Co-op

Learn how our community can open our own natural foods grocery store!

Did you know that the 1st cooperative business in the U.S. was started by Benjamin Franklin? Consumer cooperatives have a long history of serving their owner-members and the community. Now you can make history by joining the South Bay's 1st cooperative business! SunCoast Market Co-op is a grassroots effort to open a cooperative natural food grocery store in Imperial Beach to serve I.B. and surrounding communities. SunCoast Market now has over 260 owner-members but we need at least 240 more before we can start looking for a location. Join us at our monthly Coffee with the Co-op to learn more about how together we can open a community-focused grocery store that not only offers delicious, wholesome food, but also supports sustainable agriculture, small business entrepreneurs, family farms, the local economy, nutrition education, fair trade and a stronger, healthier community. Held on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30am at Red House Kitchen, 775 13th St., Imperial Beach.
