Mabuhay 5K Charity Run at Bayside Park at the Chula Vista Marina Sunday, June 17th

San Diego, CA – May 15, 2018: Come run with from the BLACK EYED PEAS at the Mabuhay 5K fun run on Sunday, June 17th at the Chula Vista Marina. The Mabuhay 5K welcomes runners, walkers, and pet walkers to join in this all ages family fun event at the beautiful scenic Chula Vista Marina. Spectators are welcome to come cheer on and their favorite Mabuhay 5K teams representing local schools and organizations from San Diego and visiting cities. The top racers of the Mabuhay 5K will receive awards for the overall top 3 positions for adults and children. The Mabuhay 5K registration package includes a Mabuhay 5K bib and finishers race medal. Online registration and race application is available at Registration is open thru Race Day on June 17th. On race day, the registration opens at 7:30 a.m. with the 5K starting at 9:00 a.m. at Bayside Park North at the Chula Vista Marina. Pets are welcome and children 4 years old and under may participate free, accompanied by a registered adult. “I lost my adoptive father this year,” said, “so doing a fun, healthy and worthwhile event on Father’s Day is my way of honoring him aside from raising funds we need to continue all of the work we’ve done in the Philippines. Hopefully, we can also begin working on programs here in the U.S. that will benefit Filipino-American youth in their pursuit of education.” The Mabuhay 5K is a community event encouraging fitness, health, and wellness. The event is brought to you by the Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering youth, partnering and collaborating with organizations on creative and innovative approaches to arts and technology; with a goal to provide the tools to individuals with the passion and drive to make a difference in their lives and in the lives of others.
