Seeking Kid Chefs!

Do you have an elementary or middle school student who wants to cook or learn more about local farming? Experiencing financial hardship? You are eligible to receive a free Field Kit!

To accompany your Field Kit, SunCoast Market Co-op is offering an online and family-friendly workshop with chef, Christina Ng.  She will show you how to prepare the recipe and teach you and your children basic knife and cooking skills. Workshop dates will be given at pick up.

You must pick up your pre-reserved kit at our drive-thru (or walk-up) pick up Thursday 1/28 between 11:00 and 1:00 at the Imperial Beach Neighborhood Center front parking lot at 455 Palm Ave, Imperial Beach, CA.

The Field Kit from The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano is great for little ones to celebrate and learn about the fall season! The Field Kit includes everything you need to make a wonderful bean and butternut squash soup with kale and toasted bread. The kit is paired with an immersive take-home learning guide. Field Kit is your opportunity to engage deeply in ecological agriculture and real food with your children.
