Aug 08, 2020 06:53PM ● By Paul Spear

Virtual Outreach Meetings #2

The Law Enforcement Review Ad Hoc Committee (LERAHC) held their second community outreach meeting on Saturday, August 1. If you missed it, no worries we recorded it!

All of the recorded outreach meetings can be found on the Ad Hoc Committee webpage.

The City Council passed a resolution to create an ad hoc committee consisting of two members of the City Council to direct staff in an analysis of the San Diego County Sheriff Department’s use of force policies and the fiscal impacts of the current contract. The report will indicate any actions needed to reform the use of force policies and include potential solutions. The City will be seeking community involvement and feedback, which will be critical to the success of the effort.

Members of the committee include Mayor Pro Tempore Aguirre and Councilmember Spriggs.
