Imperial Beach to Celebrate the 5th Annual Military Appreciation Day at Dunes Park on Monday, November 11th!

The 5th Annual Military Appreciation Day Sponsored by the FRA, VFW, American Legion, and IB Chamber. It's scheduled for November 11th from 12 until 4 pm at Dunes Park.

The City of Imperial Beach began the special event in 2015 to recognize our military community members and their families. In 2016, the Imperial Beach Chamber of Commerce, Business Improvement District, and business leaders teamed with the three local Veteran’s organizations to continue the tradition. The Fleet Reserve Association Branch 289, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5477 and American Legion Post 820 were all major participants in the planning and conduct of this very family-oriented celebration. Also, playing a big role in honoring our troop was the Imperial Beach Women's Club was out in force and brought 1,000 Christmas cards for community members to sign so they could be sent to the men and women protecting our country around the globe!
