The Imperial Beach Athletic Club (IBAC) has Been a Big Asset to Children's Athletics! at Annual Mayors Breakfast they were Honored by Mayor for their Community Service.

The Imperial Beach Athletic Club (IBAC) has Been a Big Asset to Children's Athletics! at Annual Mayors Breakfast they were Honored by Mayor for their Community Service.    

Since its First Event in April of 2018. They have given out over $10,000 in assistance to local athletic programs for children in our community and held many different events that have been open to the entire community for both adults and children. 

According to IBAC President Erik Gutierrez. IBAC is a nonprofit social welfare organization. A 501c4. They are specifically a men's club and have modeled themselves after and adopted similar bylaws of the very successful 65-year-old OMBAC 

They kicked off their inaugural season with a 1st Annual Imperial Beach Athletic Club Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 27th at the Eastlake Country Club and they have been growing and giving back to the community ever since.

Since their inception, IBAC has provided financial assistance to the Boys and Gils Club of Imperial Beach, the Skate Park Expansion, Imperial Beach Little League, Imperial Beach Girls Softball League, Mar Vista High School Baseball Team, Girls Travel Softball Team, The Surge and
The Starlings (girl volleyball) team.

Said Eric, the Imperial Beach Athletic Club also provided Kids Bike helmets and locks after the 4th of July Bike Parade in 2018 and in 2019. They have hosted two free skate contest cost for kids as well as two free cornhole tournaments for the children. They provided help to women with cancer by paying for her child to play Imperial Beach Little League fall ball/ spring ball and provided them money for equipment and helped the IBFD / Burn Institute”

The Imperial Beach Athletic Club also held a food drive for local needy families last year and is planning on doing it again in December this year. They are also paying for boys and girls at Mar Vista High School this weekend who play in the beach volleyball and IBAC is planning a blood drive. 

Next, up for the Imperial Beach Athletic Club is an Over the Line Tournament on October 5th. Sign-ups Start September 7th for the Imperial Beach Athletic Club (IBAC) Over the Line (OTL) Tournament
