Kim Frink of the Suncoast Market Coop Presented at Imperial Beach Chamber of Commerce Networking Breakfast on Thursday at Dempsey Holder Safety Center.

SunCoast is part of a resurgence in consumer food cooperatives across America that are strengthening local food systems and increasing access to healthy food for all residents. While the store will carry national brands, Coop will also provide a needed retail outlet for small, local farms and producers. They are in the fundraising stage of trying to get the SunCoast Market Co-op came about in November of 2015 as the Healthy Grocery Initiative as a grassroots effort to open a community-owned, cooperative, grocery store in Imperial Beach, California.
