Imperial Beach Woman's Club Honors Local Organizations at Annual Awards Meeting including the Boys & Girls Club, Girl Scouts, Jr. Lifeguards, Friends of the Library, Serving Seniors and others

Imperial Beach's longest active service organization, the Imperial Beach Woman's Club, held their annual awards luncheon meeting on Tuesday, November 13th at the Imperial Beach Library and honored other local groups and organizations handing out over $5,000 to those groups. Some of those being honored by the IB Woman's Club included Serving Seniors at St. Charles Nutrition Center, Friends of the Library, the Boys & Girls Club, Girl Scouts, VIP Preschool, and the Jr. Lifeguards Dig Imperial Beach was also honored at the Imperial Beach Women's Club Luncheon.

Other organizations and groups that receive support from the IBWC are the Mar Vista High School Band,  Mar Vista Middle School Band, IB Senior Center, SBUSD South Bay Music Club and more.

The Imperial Beach Woman's Club has been serving the local community here since 1933 when it was founded as the Palm City Woman's Club. They are a great group of woman and do so many wonderful things for our community. They handed out 4 scholarships at their awards and recently held a Christmas Card Drive for our troops overseas with a goal to send a 1,000 Christmas Cards to our service members stuck serving overseas away from their families during the holidays.
