Meet Dave Lopez. David is Running South Bay Union School District Board

Seat to take Place in November.

As a parent of four students who has graduated from the South Bay Union School District, a substitute teacher who has worked on every campus in the district, and a former school board member:  David Lopez is in a unique position to bring a fresh perspective to the School Board.  He proudly has the endorsements of our Mayor Serge Dedina, current school board member Cheryl Quinines, city council members Robert Patton and Mark West,  and SWTA (South West Teachers Association.)

David Lopez served on the school board from 2008-2012 previously.  He fought to keep class size down during a budget crisis.  During that term, he was instrumental in the startup of the IB Charter Middle School and keeping our school libraries open.

David Lopez feels there is more work to be done in our district.  He can help usher in a new era

where all stakeholders: parents, teachers, students, and administrators have a seat at the table and feel free to voice their opinions for a positive change.  He is prepared to tackle the challenges facing our district, ask the tough questions, and represent a broad range of interests.  David Lopez is dedicated to our students and our community. He has his boots on the ground as both an involved parent and a teacher.

David Lopez will put the needs of our students first and will always vote his conscious.  He is experienced, dedicated and honest.
