New Imperial Beach Athletic Club (IBAC) Held First Annual Cornhole Tournament this Weekend!

Building on the very successful model of OMBAC (Old Mission Beach Athletic Club), the IBAC will hold several events that will be open to the entire community this year for both adults and children.

This weekend they completed their First Annual Cornhole Tournament. Cornhole for those who haven't heard of it is much like a bean bag toss and getting the bags to go into a round hole cut into a board.

IBAC is a nonprofit social welfare organization. A 501c4. They are specifically a men's club and have modeled themselves after and adopted similar bylaws of the very successful  65 year old OMBAC according to IBAC President Erik Gutierrez.

They kicked off their inaugural season with a
1st Annual Imperial Beach Athletic Club Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 27th at the Eastlake Country Club.

The events they have coming up will include:

September 15th  (Kids) Skateboarding Competition at IB Sports Park

-------------------------------------
Oct. 27th IBAC O.T.L. (Adult)

It is expected that most events will be tournaments that will take the first 64 sign-ups, have a blind draw for teams that will then compete in the double elimination tournament)

The IBAC President is Eric Gutierrez and Deric Fernandez is running the Gold Tournament.
