                                          City to Host IB Expo

Open Air Open House Showcasing City Services and Community Resources

(IMPERIAL BEACH, CA – May 14, 2018) The City of Imperial Beach is hosting the first annual IB Expo on May 19, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Veteran’s Park, 1075 8th Street. The Expo is a free community open house providing an opportunity to learn more about the resources available to residents in Imperial Beach.

Every year, the City of Imperial Beach hosts an Open Air Open House event. The event has historically been an opportunity for the community to learn about the projects and services available from our various departments. We decided to expand the Open House to involve community partners that also provide services and resources to residents in Imperial Beach.

The IB Expo is a family friendly event with a host of activities for everyone. If you are looking for recreation programs, the Boys and Girls Club of South County will have demonstrations of their offered programs. Also on the agenda for the day are information sessions from various City departments. We hope all residents will come out to enjoy another beautiful day in IB with us, and take the opportunity to learn about community resources, City services and projects that maintain and enhance Imperial Beach’s Mission Statement.

The City of Imperial Beach’s mission is to maintain and enhance Imperial Beach as “Classic Southern California;” a beach-oriented community with a safe, small town, family atmosphere, rich in natural and cultural resources.
