Slideshow for the $7 Million Imperial Beach Blvd Enhancement Project Present at IB Chamber of Commerce Networking Breakfast April 28th

The City of Imperial Beach has graciously provided a copy of the Imperial Beach Blvd Enhancement Project to share with our reader by that was presented by Eric Minicilli, Public Works Director for the City of Imperial Beach at the April 28th, Imperial Beach Chamber of Commerce Monthly Networking Breakfast presented on April 28th at the Dempsey Holder Saftey Center. It contained 20 slides. Below is the article release before we were able to obtain the slides.

$7 Million Imperial Beach Blvd Enhancement Project Discussed Last Week at IB COC Networking Breakfast by New City of IB Public Works Director, Eric Minicilli.

The Improvement project which is s expected to start at the beginning of 2019 expects to run the full length of IB Blvd. The improvements which are being done with grants the City of IB has been received or expected to be receiving will include having a very distinct entrance to let people know they have entered the City on the east end a 25ft wide Boardwalk from Seacoast Drive to 3rd Street along the Eastuary side of the street as well as something special around the civic center.

The City of Imperial Beach will be looking to get input from the community on all aspects of the project but especially for the Boardwalk and the entrance to the City. The expansion between Seacoast Drive and 3rd Street along the estuary is expected to come with the elimination of the turn lanes and median separating east and west traffic. The project is expected to cause some major traffic disruptions at times and continuous traffic disruptions until completed.

We will keep you posted on any workshops or meetings the city plans for public input
