The Craft Fair at the Fleet Reserve 289 was put on by the Fleet Reserve Auxiliary to raise funds for events held during the year. Held Saturday inside the Fleet Reserve, both rooms were filled with lots of Creative Items and unique crafts for Holidays and All Year Round. There were beautiful handmade items made from wood, ceramics, and other interesting items. There was wall art, glasswork, jewelry, clothing, photography, hand crafted bird houses, wood, ceramics, decorative items and lots of one-of-a-kind treasures. Some of the items sold at the craft fair were made or donated by members to benefit the Auxiliary. This is the Auxiliary’s main fundraising event for the year. The also had a Fashion Show in the Spring.
Besides all the Beautiful and interesting crafts, they had a specialty food menu for the event with delicious items. My favorite was the chicken salad sandwich. They also had hot dogs, biscuits and gravy and a great looking salad.
