Despites a Great Effort from Their Defense the Mar Vista Mariners Football Varsity Team Couldn't Overcome Loss of Quarterback Jason Beck, Look to Get Back on Track This Week vs. Chula Vista on Friday

Per Head Football Coach, Tyler Arciaga, the Mariners Defense put in another solid performance and played a great game!

Unfortunately for the Mariners the loss of quarterback Jason Beck for the season and another offensive threat during the game did what the last 4 opponents couldn't do during the Mariners 4 game winning streak, it stopped an offense that was averaging over 34 points a game their last 4 games. and a 4 game winning streak. The offense never did get on track as the Red Devil's defeated Mar Vista 10-0 at Sweetwater High School in National City Friday Night.

The loss puts the Mariners record at 5 - 3 on the year and 0 - 1 in league.

Mar Vista will look to build on their solid defensive performance and get back to winning ways as they will play their second league game against Chula Vista on Friday at Mar Vista High School Friday Night October 27th at 7pm.
