The picturesque sunset and great weather provided a perfect backdrop for Saturday's performance by the San Diego State Wind Symphony & Orchestra at Imperial Beach and the Port of San Diego's annual Symphony by the Sea event held on the grass at Imperial Beach Pier Plaza.
Also performing for a crowd that filled the plaza was special presentation of "Phantom of the Empire, Return of the Opera" a musical comedy put on by the Turning Tydes Theatre.
The awesome event marks the unofficial end of the summer beach season in Imperial Beach and is one of the major highlight in Imperial Beach every year.
The beautiful photos of the event were taken by Bryan Brillhart who served as the official photographer of the Sun and Sea Festival this year. You can see some of Bryan beautiful photography in the new Grocery Outlet on the upper wall in the liquor section or in his Bird of the Week column featured here in DigImperialBeach.com every Thursday.
