Mayor's 3k & IB Pier Swim/Paddle 
8:00 AM: 3k Beach Walk/Run
9:00 AM: I.B. Pier Swim & Paddle
Price: FREE
Join Mayor Serge Dedina for the Mayor's 3rd Annual I.B. Pier Swim & Paddle and 3k Beach Walk/Run. Weather conditions permitting, participants will be swimming or paddling around the Imperial Beach Pier with the Mayor! Strong ocean swimming or paddling experience is recommended to participate. You can choose to participate in the Walk/Run, the Swim & Paddle or both! Registration is free and available online at or the day of the event at the Dempsey Holder Safety Center (950 Ocean Lane, Imperial Beach, CA 91932) starting at 7:30 AM. Participants will be required to sign waivers at the event.

Mayor's Breakfast
Please join Mayor Serge Dedina for the IB Mayor's Breakfast at the picnic area near Dempsey Holder Safety Center. There will be an awards ceremony followed by a light continental breakfast. This is event is FREE and open to the public! No reservations are needed.

Local Farmers Market featuring a variety of foods, organic and locally grown produce and flowers.

2017 Sandcastle Ball at the Boys & Girls Club
0600 PM – Midnight
Price: $15 per person
Already being touted as "IB's social event of the year," this year’s Sandcastle Ball is expected to bring hundreds of people together. The Sandcastle Ball will be hosting the Mar Vista High School All Year's Reunion Mixer so it will be the ultimate reunion for anyone who's had the honor of calling IB home; whether lifetime locals or past residents, it’s the perfect time to reunite with neighbors, friends and former classmates.

Friday July 14th - Sunday, July 16th
Cal-State Games
You might notice a lot of families are heading to games throughout San Diego this weekend for the Cal-States Games. These games mimic the Olympic experience with opening and closing ceremonies in addition to many venues throughout the city including Jr. Lifeguards at Coronado State Beach, soccer at Southwestern College, softball in Chula Vista and other sites, and Water Polo in Coronado and other schools.
