Great Turnout for the IB Fourth of July Bike Parade

Hundreds of locals show up for IB's Bike Parade  as it Continues to Grow in Size and Popularity!

Happy Fourth July, Independence Day! 

The Fourth of July Bike Parade began to congregate around 8:30 and the Girl Scouts were scheduled to give the lead the Pledge of Allegiance at 8:45am; The actual bike ride through the streets of Imperial Beach began around 9 AM at Mar Vista High School and roamed throughout the streets of IB for around an hour. 

Hundreds of Friends and families alike gathered from Imperial Beach decorated and rode their bikes, scooters, and even golf carts around Imperial Beach and down Seacoast Drive to celebrate the Fourth of July together.

The size of the parade has grown in size every year with hundreds of locals showing up and crowding the streets showing their American pride. 

After the Bike Parade finished Greg Hughes along with his family and friends cooked up a Pancake Breakfast for those that stayed around after the ride. The breakfast was free thanks to the hard work of Greg's Family and Friends and donations by a few community businesses.

Along with the bike parade IB and the IBJBA will also be hosting a luck of the draw doubles volleyball tournament at the courts behind Katy’s Cafe. Registration started at 9 AM and is 10 dollars and teammates are randomized. 

 Lastly, Fireworks begin at 9 PM on the beach for the public!
