Another Successful Day For Harvest Crops.  A Chula Vista Home Owner Had Several Trees to Pick With Oranges and Tangerines.

A hardy groups of Volunteer pickers arrived at the residence ready for a morning of activity and camaraderie.  The trees were full of juicy and delicious fruit and very easy to pick.  

In our two hours of picking time, we collected 10 crates of fruit!  The fruit was then transported to the JAG Kitchen at Southwestern College.  They have a food pantry for students who can come and  get snacks, soups mixes of all kinds, and with Harvest CROPS there is fruit!  

The students were very excited about having the fruit and were eager to make it available.

We encourage groups of all kinds to volunteer to pick, drive a truck and transport the fruit to people without access to it.  You can sign up your group on the website and pick a location you would like to go to and then afterward, deliver it to the location of your choice.  To volunteer or donate anything for equipment, gas cards, supplies or to volunteer your track for transportation please see the website:
