With a Performance by The Sinatra Guy and Food from the Barbeque Pit, The IB Women's Club Spring Luncheon was a Enjoyable Afternoon with Great Friends, Food & Entertainment.JC Carter, the Frank Sinatra Guy provided the entertainment with songs from the past, singing and performing on stage in the Boy's and Girl's Club Gym as about 100+ attendees enjoyed a delightful lunch catered by the Barbeque Pitt that provided Tasty BBQ Beef or Pork Sandwiches along with wonderful potato salad, cole slaw and bbq beans.
The Imperial Beach Women's Club is Imperial Beach's oldest service group. It was established around 1933 and was originally known as the Palm City Women's Club before it changed its name to the Imperial Beach Women's Club in the early 1970's. It is arguably Imperial Beach's most influential service group.
The meeting kicked off with speakers including IB Mayor Serge Dedina and IB Councilman Mark West among the speakers before the entertainment stated and the wonderful lunch served.
The luncheon concluded with a raffle where they had some great prizes that were donated by local businesses and the announcement of the winners of the silent auction. Two great prizes were auctioned off, the always very popular dinner with the Imperial Beach Fire Department and the other was an overnight stay at the Loews in Coronado.
All the funds raised from the event go back to programs in the community of Imperial Beach that the Women's Club helps support.
