The Mariners Girls Softball Team Plays at Home against Mission Bay on Tuesday in a CIF Playoff Game. The Mariners were Upset on Friday by La Jolla 7-2.

After getting a second seed in the CIF Tournament and winning their first CIF Playoff game against Monte Vista 6-0 on Wednesday last week, the Mariners lost to La Jolla 7-2 in a game played at Mar Vista on Friday. The Mariners had an off day according to Coach Terry Garcia. However, Coach Garcia still feels very good about their chances going into Tuesday's game against Mission Bay which will be played at 3:30pm on the Mar Vista High School Girls Softball Field.

There were some highlights of the game that the girls can build on. Two runs came from home runs that went over the fence. Both home runs were hit by Freshman, Erika Sanchez. Also, Sophomore Jazmyne Gomez pitched a great game only giving up 3 earned runs.
