7-Eleven on Palm Avenue was Recognized as Needing Community Support Because of Loss of Business due to Road Construction on Palm Avenue by 7th St that Has Impeded Access to Store.

The store located at 657 Palm Avenue has been hurt by all the traffic closures and redirection of traffic along Palm Avenue due to the Breakwater Town Center development. Store owner of the 7 Eleven, Harjinder Singh, was recognized by the Chamber of Commerce and members were

asked to get the word out to the community to support the store with business as much as possible so that he may recoup some of the $30,000 estimated loss of business. Also at the meeting from 7 Eleven was one of their store consultants Greg Williams who gave me the figure on the estimated loss of business.

Speaking at the meeting as guest speaker was Imperial Beach Mayor Serge Dedina. Mayor Dedina praised the Chamber for their work in the community as well as talking about topics effecting the local business community.
