On March 31 – April 2 St. James Lutheran Church Boy Scout Troop 866 and Webelos of Pack 866 attended a Camporee on Fiesta Island. Their Patrols competed in numerous scout events. They placed first in Knots and Pioneering, first and second in Orienteering, and first in First Aid. The patrols won second and third over all of the patrols competing, out of 250 scouts in attendance. St. James Boy Scout Venture Crew and unit leaders served on the Camporee Staff.
On April 8 these active Boy Scout units served on staff for the Boy Scout Fair, at Qualcom Stadium, in the Tire Tow competition. The Fair is attended by thousands, to see and experience the Boy Scouting program.
