In partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of South County and in support of the Live Well San Diego vision, the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) South Region would like to invite you to the Imperial Beach “Let’s Connect Expo” April 29th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The free event will have giveaways, kid-friendly activities, and fun entertainment along with words from Supervisor Greg Cox, Boys & Girls Clubs of South County President/CEO Ken Blinsman, and Imperial Beach Council.
The purpose of “Let’s Connect Expo” is to support families and connect them with useful resources and enrichment opportunities in their community that align with the Live Well San Diego vision: To see communities be Healthy, Safe and Thriving. The Health Zone is designed to improve the health of residents by providing health screenings, and health information. The Safe Zone will provide residents tools to develop a family disaster plan, create an emergency kit and stay informed in case of an emergency. Finally, the Thriving Zone will provide resources for families to thrive such as job searching techniques, resume review, interview tips, affordable enrichment activities and budgeting techniques. There will also be a Kids Zone with fun activities.
