Just last week the Lady Mariner Varsity went undefeated ton win the Monte Vista Gold & Silver Invitational Tournament Championship!

Tuesday, the Lady Mariners Varsity took their first loss of the season 12-7 against the Coronado Islanders. It was a tough game and Mar Vista just couldn't make up for all the errors in the field with their bats. Coronado did a great job hitting. Next up is Imperial on Thursday and JV vs HTHSD on Thursday as well

LAST WEEK;
The Lady Mariners opened their season playing their first game on March 3rd at home against San Ysidro in the Monte Vista Gold & Silver Invitational Tournament. They soundly defeated San Ysidro 21-3.

Continuing on in the tournament, their next game they went up against Lincoln High School
and continued to roll with another strong game winning 29-2.

High Tech High CV was next and they played well coming away with their third victory winning 22-12.

Escondido Charter was their next opponent in the tournament and they defeated Escondido Charter with another trouncing 14-0  to place them into the semi-champion round of the tournament.

With a record of 4 and 0, they played on Saturday against Calvary Christian Academy where the Mariners came away with a 14 - 2 victory and a seat for the championship game up against Monte Vista scheduled for today.

In the championship game the Mariners took a quick 2-0 lead, but lost that lead in the top of the 5th with a score of 3-2 Monte Vista. The Lady Mariners never gave up and quickly responded to that in the bottom of the 5th with 2 more runs, putting MVHS in the lead 4-3.
