Linda Heath Interviews Steph Pate About Her Efforts to Bring Awareness to Government Officials Regarding The Recent Massive Sewage Spill, and to get Federal Support.

Steph Pate a long-time Resident of Imperial Beach has been actively involved with a Letter Writing Campaign to elicit emergency support from the Local, State and Federal Government officials to rectify the current pollution of the estuary and area beaches.

She and other volunteers, who are all local Mothers, have collected hundreds of hand-written letters from adults and children alike addressed to State Senators and Representatives expressing their concerns and demands about this issue.

She and others have been to several locations where citizens gather in Imperial Beach and Coronado where the effects of the sewage spill had the greatest impact.  The polluted beaches, and Estuary and the putrid fetid smell and dense air quality have caused closure of the beaches and have had Residents up in arms.

It is essential we all express our anger and frustration about the pollution to our elected officials and demand action so this never occurs again.  Thank you Steph for your hard work and dedication to Imperial Beach and it's Citizens and continue the fight
