City of Imperial Beach Announces ‘Safe Routes to School’ Project Grand Opening

 Ribbon cutting to commemorate completion of safe walking and biking access for area schools

 

Another Safe Routes to Schools project has come to the City of Imperial Beach! The Elm Avenue Improvement Project has improved the safety for the nearby school community by making several road, sidewalk and bikeway improvements. The project provides a safe route to schools, reduces street flooding and provides a safer and designated connection to the Imperial Beach Bicycle Network.

 

WHO:

City of Imperial Beach, Mayor, City Council and federal, state and county elected officials

 

WHAT:

A ribbon cutting ceremony commemorating the completion of the Elm Avenue Improvement Project. A Safe Routes to Schools construction project creating safe walking and biking access to cluster of four schools. Project funded by city, state and federal sources.

 

WHEN:

Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
