The Return of the "Dragon" at the National City Aquatic Center was sponsored by the Port of San Diego in celebration of the Arts, Tide + Land + Art on Saturday February 25th.

A beautiful day for all the people who came to celebrate the Arts at the Aquatic Center of National City.  They enjoyed art activities, Taiko Drummers, Dragon Boats for Bay touring, Dancers, rowing demonstrations, face painting, kite flying, a photo booth, food and refreshments, giveaways and more.

There was a couple of performers doing splendid acrobatics from Fire&Fly SD.  Their movements were graceful and fluid and must have taken many years to develop the talent and balance required!

For those who got to ride the in the Dragon Boats, it brought to mind the Viking ships of long ago and a special trip around the Bay.

There were numerous banners and kites flying all with gorgeous colors and were afforded a splendid wind.

There were refreshments to savor and large cookies shaped like dragon scales and dragon heads that looked exactly like the dragon of the Aquatic Center and were delicious as well.
