About 50 Enthusiastic and Energetic Kids Turned Out for Children’s Wrestling Clinic Held at Mar Vista High School on Monday Morning!

Monday Mariner Wrestling Coaches and players and about 50 energetic and enthusiastic children turned up for a kids wrestling clinic put on by Mar Vista High School for boys and girls ages 6 to 14. Mariner Coaches and players spent 2 hours working with the children on stretching, getting warmed up correctly and wrestling tutoring Boy's Coaches Julio Garcia, Ed de los Reyes and Girls Coach Shyla Iokia-Murphy along with a few members of the boys and girls wrestling team.

This Weekend Sonia Banequid will compete for the Mariners in the State Tournament while boys wrestlers Julian and Christian Winnie, Nathaniel Bingham and Mathew Frith, will compete at The Masters Tournament this Friday and Saturday. The top three placers at Masters will go to the State Tournament.

Last weekend Julian and Christian Winnie both brought home the Silver for the Mariner grapplers while Nathaniel Bingham and Mathew Frith, both sophomores, qualified for The Masters Tournament

A special "Thank you" to the Mariner Coaches for their assistance covering the team.
