Rain Didn't Dampen Saturday's Living Coast's Community Cleanup

Imperial Beach residents didn't let a little rain stop them from turning out for today's Living Coast "Team up to Clean up" Community Cleanup at the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge (SDB NWR) in Imperial Beach.

A group of enthusiastic volunteers gathered at the end of 10th Street in Imperial Beach, were the street ends at the San
Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge, and met to pick up trash and plant vegetation. Said Tina Matthias of the SDB NWR, "We had a great crowd today". Both young and old made up the group of volunteers that showed up for todays event.

The event sponsor by the Living Coast Discovery Center, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization base in Chula Vista.dedicated to providing environmental education on coastal resource conservation, and installing a respect for nature and wildlife in people of all ages.

The Living Coast Discovery Center will be sponsoring another community and plant restoration in two week on Saturday February 25th and will meet at the same time & location at the SDB NWR.
