Imperial Beach News Updates and Information
IB Storm Update
The city has been actively monitoring the storm situation and our public safety and public works crew have been working throughout the weekend to keep our city and it's residents safe and sound.
  • With the recent power outages, some delays have been experienced with the City's non-emergency and public works numbers. Residents are encouraged to call 911 for the duration of the storm which is much more reliable.
  • The Imperial Beach Fire Department has obtained sandbags for public distribution. Sand and sandbags are available while supply lasts at the Imperial Beach Fire Department (865 Imperial Beach Blvd.) for City residents and the sand stockpile is located behind the fire station. 10 sandbags are available per household with proof of city residency. Sand and sandbags will be available while the supply lasts. San Diego residents can obtain sandbags from San Ysidro Fire Station 29.
