Three Big Storms, Waves Up To 15 Feet Expected to Hit Imperial Beach During Next Week

IB Fire Captain, John French, Addressed the Imperial Beach City Council Wednesday Night to Say They Are Preparing For Three Big Storms with Waves Up To 15 Feet  to Hit the San Diego Area During the Next Week.


The Imperial Beach Fire Department has made up 3,000 sand bags and just received in another 10,000 pounds of sand to make up more sand bags.Sand bags can be picked up at the Imperial Beach Fire Department. for those unable to collect the sand bags they believe they may need they can contact the Fire Department on their main number at (819) 423-8223 and they will see about making arrangements to deliver the sand bags.

During the presentation, IB mayor Serge Dedina stress the importance of not trying to drive through the flooded areas along Seacoast Drive near the Estuary as salt water will do extreme damage to your car.
