The New Imperial Beach Library Will Be Holding its Grand Opening Saturday January 7th! A Press release is Due Out Any Day Now. At this time no other details are Available.

The first ever library in Imperial Beach, established in 1915, has come a long way from its humble beginnings 101 years ago at the back of a little U.S. Postal Office on First Street. Having broke ground a year ago last October it is now nearing completion after breaking ground a little over a year ago.

In 2015 a big celebration was held for the Library's 100th anniversary. The Friends of the Library have been raising money by selling bricks on the wall and have been truly a blessing for the community of patrons who have enjoyed the library over the years. Be sure to keep a look out for their "Book Sales" and other events they put on to raise money for great things they do for the library.

A Press Release from the County of San Diego is expected Monday or Tuesday so keep your eyes open for this very exciting announcement!
