Except for a Few Final Touches, New IB Park Completed at 10th St & Iris Avenue

After many Design Concept Changes, the New Imperial Beach Park at 10th St & Iris Avenue has been Completed Except for a Few Final Touches,

The Park began as a n empty space and has been transformed into a beautiful place of peace and reflection. The Community Park was a joint project by 4Walls International, The Imperial Arts Bureau, and the City of Imperial Beach.

In it's endeavor ton remove blight and improve empty spaces, the City lot was transformed from a ragged bare lot used for parking and not much else to a Community space for all to enjoy in the Neighborhood.

The theme of the Park is the blending of 6 special categories to flow together in a continuous River of Community.  The plants are all native in origin and the statuary represents the 6 categories,  The fence banner is a compilation of all design elements and is brilliantly colored and designed by Allen Wiseley.  The Statuary are intricately cut stencils from copper and shaped by Todd Stands, Steven Wright and Waylon Matson.  Many volunteers helped with project and made the final project complete.

The park is almost completed with only signage identifying the plants and statuary, the Flag Pole in the main Circle and benches for sitting and reflecting or relaxing.

I encourage all to come and visit the park and spend time learning it's significance and experiencing the peaceful atmosphere.
