The Boys and Girls Club of South County has recently provided quality events for the community and the Fall Brawl is no exception. Spear-headed by four-time belt champion Ron Murray, the Sports Park Kickboxing instructor, the event was created to exhibit and display local talent. The spectacle will provide close to 15 exhibition fights of youth and adult kickboxing, boxing, Tae Kwon Do, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from local gyms such as Odin Gym, HomeTeam Boxing, Chula Vista Boxing and IB Fight Club.

Program Director Bowe Fertig looks to improve on the success of recent events like Zumba Halloween and programs such as Big Brother/Big Sister. According to Fertig, "Our goal is to provide the community with options so that this becomes a one-stop shop for things to do mainly for youth but also for adults. Fight Night is an example of hosting an event where family and friends can enjoy a night together by watching the exceptional local talent Imperial Beach has to offer. The local support has been tremendous as well with Barrel's, Surf Hut, and Boca Rio help sponsoring the event."

The Boys and Girls Club has also tagged up with Include Autism, a not-for-profit dedicated to providing services that instill community-wide autism inclusion. "The Murray family has been instrumental in getting this event off and running as Kyle and Ron have brought in great organizations to team up with," said Fertig.

The event will provide a live music, Beer Garden and food for your enjoyment as well. Proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club-- Admission $10 for Adults, $5 for kids. If you would also like to help sponsor the event, you can contact Bowe Fertig @

Fight Night will take place Saturday November 12th with doors opening at 4:00 PM and the first fight scheduled at 5 PM. See you there!
