4Walls International, City & Steering Committee Hold Meeting on Park Completion and New Park to be Developed at 10th St and Iris Ave. 

Planters for Trees will be Delivered to Peoples (Pocket) Park at Date Ave and Seacoast Drive on Thursday. Trees and Shrubbery for the Park are supposed to Follow Next Week.

The Steering Committee discussed going into the neighborhood surrounding 10th and Iris to 
obtain Community involvement and discover what the Community wants for the Park and what expectations they have.  A proposed Community Meeting will tentatively be scheduled October 20th at a location to be determined.

The project will invite youth participation from local Organizations, have a Community Garden with a Sustainability focus and Waste Re-purposing aspect.  There will be classes held for the Community on many artistic and interesting topics to determined and suggestions are welcomed from Community members.

A fundraiser will be planned to help provide funds for Artists stipends, in conjunction with the Imperial Beach Arts Bureau (IBAB), for those who are to be responsible for specific aspects of the design and development of the Park.  

The first week in November is the planned week for completing the prep work and the following week, the 10th through the 13th of November will begin the build work on the Park. The following week will be the completion of the project before Thanksgiving.
