Yes, the summers are endless in Southern California and in particular, Imperial Beach, California. Many will say it’s a way of life! What better place to promote the imperial beauty along the coast of Imperial Beach. IB is a venue like no other in Southern California with Its beach accesses running along the main thoroughfare of Seacoast Drive, to the welcoming arches of Pier Plaza. The feeling is that of an oasis of sand, water and cool ocean breezes.

For that reason any event along the beachfront is sure to be a big hit in IB. One such event is the annual AutoFest, formerly the “Endless Summer” Car Show. Seacoast Drive will be center stage to cars, trucks, and motorcycles of all makes and models. This year the venue has expanded to include the pier, boardwalk and parts of the beach.

Moreover, the event will include a bigger bang in the program of events, like specialty cars, a magic show by Alfonzo the Magician, a vintage pin-up runway show by Rico’s on 3rd The Salon and Pin-Up Style Boutique- honoring breast cancer awareness and survivors, and more!

The San Diego Air-Cooled Car Club and the City of IB will continue to host this event with sponsors from within the local business district as well as neighboring cities. This year’s proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Imperial Beach. The festival starts at 9:00am and ends at 3:00pm, on Saturday October 8, 2016. AutoFest will feature live music by the Jackals and the Ideas, music by DJ Reuben, entertainment for all ages and a kid’s zone, and lots of cool vehicles- like the Wild Thang and Herbie, the “Love Bug”. The event footprint will take place on Seacoast Drive to IB Blvd and to Palm Avenue. Trophy judging will begin early so the awards can be announced by 2:30pm.

The main stage area will be Pier Plaza, but you’ll have food, arts and crafts, auto industry and other business vendors throughout Seacoast Drive. The Kids Zone will be located at Dunes Park on Seacoast Drive. Other stages will be at Dunes Park and corner parking lot at Seacoast and Palm Avenue.
