The Imperial Beach  Boys and Girls Club got a Fabulous Facelift this Summer Thanks to San Diego Habitat for Humanity.

The Imperial Beach Boys and Girls Club was in desperate of a nice fresh coat of paint on its
buildings and the San Diego Habitat for Humanity really came through for them painting the complete outside of the club this summer.

Workers came for several areas. Besides the normal local volunteers, there were also older
teens from all over the United States who came out to be part of SD Habitat for Humanity's Work Experience Program for Teens.

I had the opportunity to speak with a couple of the older teenagers and they were extremely excited to have the opportunity to get work experience in Imperial Beach.

Many Locals were there helping as well. Just some included Mark West and Melanie Ellsworth pictured to the right. Josie hamada will be found in some of the photos in the "Photo Gallery".There was also other work done at the boys and girls Club that we hope to reporting on soon just as soon as they return my call requesting an interview.

Ellen Immergut, Anne Marie Conte of SD Habitat for Humanity and their whole crew deserve a big "THANK YOU" from Imperial Beach for the great job painting the whole exterior of the Boys and Girls Club and all the help they always are giving to the community of Imperial Beach.
