Stephanie Morales of the Mar Vista High School Girls Water Polo Team uses Awards to Score Scholarship to LaSalle University. She will Start the first ever Women's Water Polo Team In La Salle History!

Stephanie Morales kept finding herself on stage at the 2016 Mar Vista High School Awards Night.
Stephanie won awards for the following:
  • Girls Water Polo 1st Team/ Mesa All-League Awards
  • Four Year Letter Awards - Girls Water Polo
  • SD UT Scholar Athletes - Girls Volleyball, Water Polo, Girls Swim and Dive
  • Tri-Sport Athlete - Girls Volleyball, Girls Water Polo, Girls Swim and Dive
On top of all that Stephanie played on the 2016 CIF Championship Girls Water Polo Team
which was the first MVHS Team to ever win a CIF Championship in team sports in the schools 65 year history.

It was quite a year for the senior who brought her grandfather Bill along with her to watch the awards ceremony.

Now Stephanie is moving on with a fully paid athletic Scholarship to La Salle University. Their she will be a La Salle's first ever Girl's Water Polo Team. La Salle, in Philadelphia has never had a girls water polo team before and they will be counting on Stephanie to build the foundation for the very prestigious university.

I had a chance to speak briefly about everything at the end of awards night and she told me she is looking forward to the challenge of building up the team and then when done with her 4 years at LaSalle hopes to do some advanced studies at UC Irving.

So this next year, while following college sports, you might want to check in on Stephanie and see how she is doing. I have a hunch, she and LaSalle will be both doing great in Woman's Water Polo.

Best Wishes Stephanie! We'll all be rooting for you!
