Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado, Calif. - The Navy is conducting blank fire and pyrotechnic training exercises on June 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2016, from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM with four eleven meter rigid-hulled inflatable boats (RIB) in training areas Delta 1, 2, 3, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf, and hotel in the vicinity of Naval Amphibious Base (NAB) and within the San Diego Bay (between NAB and Naval Base San Diego). Blank fire and pyrotechnic training will also be conducted along the ocean side of the Silver Strand Training Complex - North at Blue Beach 1 and 2 (ocean side beaches across from Fiddler's Cove Marina & RV Park). Individuals in the vicinity may hear weapons firing (blank munitions) and see pyrotechnics during these training exercises.
In addition to the blank fire/pyrotechnic training, the Navy will conduct personnel transfers in the vicinity of the U.S. Coast Guard Station, Buoy 1SD, and Mission Bay.
The Navy recognizes the importance of being good neighbors with the local communities and makes every effort to abate noise when possible.
