Students Compete in South Bay Union School District PTA Council 2016 Unity Games at MVHS on Saturday

Students Compete in South Bay Union School District PTA Council 2016 Unity Games at Mar Vista High School on Saturday in various Athletic Competition.

 On Saturday, the South Bay Union School District PTA Council hosted the 2016 Unity Games at Mar Vista High School. Students from the District gathered at 9:00 with the competition lasting till around noon.  

The opening ceremony included speeches for School and City Officials and a performance by
  the VIP Village Preschool Stomp Band.
 
The field day included athletic competitions by students from all eleven schools in the District. To highlight the South Bay School District’s commitment to wellness and the importance of physical activity, the event included races, an obstacle course, and a tug-of-war.  

District winners will received medals and will be featured in upcoming publications.  

The event included students, families, volunteers, staff, community partners, and VIP guests.  
The South Bay Union School District PTA Council includes representatives from all PTAs within the District.  The PTA Council’s mission is to be a powerful voice for all children, to be a relevant 
 resource for families and communities, and to be a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child

The snack bar was open during the event refreshments were available.
