"Ride for Safety" San Diego Community Bike Ride and Child Safety Fair Registration is Now Open!On Saturday June 11, 2016, the Jonathan Sellers & Charlie Keever (JSCK) Foundation in partnership with the cities of Imperial Beach and Coronado, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, Outdoor Outreach, Pier South and WildCoast will be hosting its Annual “Ride for Safety” San Diego Community Bike Ride and Child Safety Fair. We are excited because this year the event will coincide with Global Wellness Day. Global Wellness Day is a social project created by volunteers dedicated to living well with the purpose of asking one question, even if for just one day. “How can I live a healthier and better life?”, to direct the thoughts of both individuals and society towards living well for the mind, body and soul.
From 8:00 am - 9:00 am, our 4th Annual Family Bike Ride will be held on the picturesque Bayshore Silver Strand Bikeway with stunning views of the Otay River. Where you can turn around at the San Diego County Biological Study Area Lookout Point, hosted by Outdoor Outreach Leadership Program.
From 8:30 am - 10:00 am, our 1st Annual Child Safety Fair was created to be a FREE community event that promotes safety awareness, and gives kids the skills they need to stay safe. Too many children lack the means to best protect themselves on a daily basis—not with tiny hands, but with simple survival techniques like keeping your distance from strangers, stay alert, and “When you don't know what to do, Away Fly Away." Provided by JSCK Child Safety Program, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services and Outdoor Outreach.
