New Pedestrian Cross Walk & Stop Light going in at 13th St and Grove Avenue in Imperial Beach as part of the 13th Street Improvement Project the city started last December 20th. It should be completed very soon have ever it looks like a couple of things still need to be done so be alert when in that area.

Here is a preview of what is shaping up there!

When I spoke with Mayor Dedina in December he said " The improvements being done are part of the 13th Street Improvement Project.  In regards to the start of the 13th Street Project, Imperial Beach mayor, Serge Dedina said "I am very pleased that we have begun the 13th Street Improvement Project. It's an important step in improving neighborhoods around 13th Street which have been some of the most neglected neighborhoods in Imperial Beach. More important, it will provide much safer streets for residents and drivers alike".

All for corners have been have ADA compliant ramps and crosswalks at all four corners and has change the traffic lanes to a single lane in each direction with a center left turn lane and a Class 2 bike-lane on each side of the street.

The city and workers have done an excellent job staying on schedule with the 13th Street improvement Project as it was originally schedule for completion in March if all went well.
