A Big "Thank you" to Ann Price for Joining IB's History Group, Her Book, A Tree Grows in
Imperial Beach" gives a lot of insight and clues to the start up of Imperial Beach.

Friday afternoon a meeting was held concerning IB's History and having a booth at Taste of IB and the Mayor's Breakfast which is part of the Sun and Sea Festival as  part of the City of Imperial Beach's 60 Year Anniversary

At the meeting were City Council Members Lorie Bragg and Brian "Pat" Bilbray. also in attendance from the city was Ed Vea. Citizens of Imperial Beach in attendance were Tim O'Neil, Linda Heath and Paul Spear.two members of the
group who were unable to attend were David Smith and Ann Price.

If you would like to contribute items of Historical Importance they can be dropped off with Paul Spear or Ed Vea as Lorie Bragg is traveling at this time. Items can be given or loaned to this group for display. If loaned we will have a loan agreement.

Since Dig Imperial Beach or DigImperialBeach.com doesn't have a product to put out for the Taste of IB, so Paul Spear is letting the city use his space so that they can display the "IB History Booth" at Taste of IB.

Paul is donating his booth for Taste of IB so we can raise awareness of the City of Imperial
Beach's 60th Anniversary this year and  to do a trial run so that we can put on the best possible display at the display during the Mayor's Breakfast which is part of the Sun and Sea Festival.
