Fridays fish report coming in at 9pm
IB picking up a bit anglers landing a few Mackerel
Perch have been active in the area around the lifeguard tower.
Jacksmelt and a few small sting rays landed for Friday February 19th
I spoke with Alex Pina went to the Coronado's Wednesday and got caught in the insanest fog bank here's the North Island engulfed in 7 minutes
Alex, "we tried to out run the fog in a 19 ft Center Console with a Mercury 4 stroke 115 HP and within 8 miles of Point Loma it got us i navigated with the compass in as our GPS and fish finder froze up that day....
Fishing has been great 40 miles south at the Finger bank for Yellowtail this past week the charter boats have had good counts of up to 90 Yellowtail ranging from 15 25 lbs
Quite a bit of excitement for one day
In speaking more to Alex about the fog he said "oh my yes heavy went from 85 degrees full sun to heavy cold fog within 20 minutes here's a video I ((Alex)made (shown below)
Alex caught the smallest halibut that day also. Alex, "good story for the week",
5 am looking east
I navigated to this area almost made it in without GPS compass bearing 30 north east
