VFW 5477, FRA #289 and American Legion Post 820 receive Awards from City of Imperial Beach

The Veterans of Foreign 5477 Wars, Fleet Reserve Association #289 and American Legion Post 820 receive Awards from City of Imperial Beach for work with Community.

The awards were handed out during the Imperial Beach State of City Address and Community 
 Awards Celebration Monday night at the Imperial Beach Boys and Girls Club. The awards were given out to the military veterans organizations for all the work they do with the community of Imperial Beach. This year there was extra work done on top of all their already great services when they helped the City of Imperial Beach plan the City's first ever Military Appreciation Day in honor of all servicemen active and retired who have served our great nation.

Other Award Winners include Ken Blinsman of the Boys and Girls Club of South County and Milena (Sellers) Phillips,  The Jonathan Sellers & Charlie Keever Foundation (JSCK) which we will have more on or feature in another segment.

Also putting on a show at the was the Ballet Folklorico from Mar Vista High School who put on an outstanding performance.
