SBUSD Teachers planning "March for Students" from Mendoza Elementary to the District Office this Thursday at 4pm

Jan 19, 2016 05:00PM ● Published by Paul Spear

Teachers of South Bay Union School District have been trying to convince our school board to spend the funds they receive from the state on our students since May 2015.

We are asking for a nurse and counselor at every site, designated planning and prep time, smaller class sizes, and equitable compensation for educators. The district says they can't afford it, but they could afford a 13+% raise for our Superintendent.

To raise community awareness, we're planning a march from Mendoza Elementary to the District Office, followed by pizza and a rally before the school board meeting. We would love it if you would join us. Everyone is welcome! Our students deserve the best!
