Boca Rio Ink, Creating an Identity and Brand for Imperial Beach Little League

Boca Rio, a local branding and advertising company in Imperial Beach, was visited by a former president of Imperial Beach Little League, Anthony Sabala, with a vision. The task at hand for the Boca Rio team was to assist the former president in his vision of creating a logo that would not only embody and represent the community of Imperial Beach, but something that could also represent the most southwestern local little league organization in the United States for years to come with the aesthetic appeal to all generations. Putting this vision from the mind of the customer, onto a digital computer, and then on apparel was a process of bringing Imperial Beach Little League’s identity to life.
As the article The Role of Brand in the Non-Profit Sector illustrates brand management for nonprofits is not only a tool for fundraising, but it can play strategic roles like “driving broad, long terms social goals, while strengthening internal identity, [and] cohesion”. A logo for an organization is the window to its soul, to its mission statement. The logo is the identity of the organization and its purpose is to attract its targeted audience. With this being said, creating logo for a local youth sports organization, Imperial Beach Little League, was something the team at Boca Rio was so very dedicated in accomplishing.
The effort to fundraise, the impact on social media, and the relationships among sponsors and the community has been a smoother task simply by creating a logo to do the talking of who they are, what they do, and why they are present within the community.Boca Rio is honored to have been a part of such a creation that Imperial Beach has embraced as their own.
