Update on Alley Improvements Project

The City of Imperial Beach is happy to announce that the final plans and specifications for the Alley Improvements project will be ready in the 1st week of April.

The City plans to advertise the project on April 16, 2015. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in June 2015. Parking and Access to the alleys may be affected temporarily during the construction period. The construction work will be staged to minimize inconvenience. Trash pickup will be coordinated with EDCO to minimize disruption to the residents.

The Construction will be staged such that construction work will be performed in only 4 alleys at a time. Adjacent alleys will not be a part of the same stage so as to reduce impact on parking. The Contractor will notify the residents of the schedule of construction in their respective alleys.

The City of Imperial Beach works hard to minimize any disruption caused by construction to the residents, and in doing so, wants to keep everyone informed of the construction activities. While the construction may cause some inconveniences to the residents, we also know that it means new and improved infrastructure for our City’s residents and as well as community growth. The City thanks you for your cooperation and patience during the construction of this project. Please check the City’s website for periodic updates about the project.
