Message from the President, Gary Brown:

The Imperial Beach/ South Bay Kiwanis will host SeptemberFest on Saturday, September 12, from 5:00 to 10:00pm at the Boys & Girls Club, 847 Encina Blvd.

It’s a great chance to dance and have a brat and a beer for a $10 donation. Your donation will help the children of Imperial Beach/South Bay and the world.  Locally the Kiwanis focus on ways to serve kids like recognizing a student of the month in the South Bay Elementary Schools and providing a small start toward college savings. The club also raises funds for the Ronald McDonald House, Rady Children’s Hospital, and the Boys & Girls Club. The members recently had a drive to “Fill the Bus” with school supplies for elementary school students, and hosted the Kids Fishing Derby in cooperation with the Port District and many local donors. The club also donates books to school libraries. The local Kiwanis have joined Kiwanis around the world to raise $100M that provides tetanus vaccines for newly born children and mothers. This will save over 50 million kids lives.

Come enjoy a fun-filled evening and help children live better lives.
