The Imperial Beach 2015 Relay for Life at Mar Vista High School was a Big Success Last Weekend as hundreds of people showed up to raise money for the American Cancer Society!

Survivors of Cancer were there as well as members of families who have lost a loved one to cancer. Also there were local citizens who wanted to help, the Imperial Beach Fire Station 39, the Imperial Beach Mayor, Serge Dedina and his family,
Caregivers and in all a great big enthusiastic crowd who stayed through the night. Over 24 hours in all and doing "Relays for Life" to raise money all through Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday morning.

As they say, "a picture tells 1,000 words". Well we have 60 great photographs thanks to IB PhotoHappy that tell the story so much better than I ever could that I recommend you take you time and go through the photographs one by one.

We have plenty of photographs of the 24 hour event. Photo Credit: IB PhotoHappy

You will see all sorts of special "Laps" taking place including: a Survivors Lap, a Silent Relay and a Caregivers Lap, a Firefighter Lap, Night time Relays, Group Relays and so much more!

All participants are truly stars and I am grateful they live iin our community.
